2021年6月17日，搭載神舟十二號載人飛船的長征運載火箭，在酒泉衛星發射中心成功發射，順利進入預定軌道，將聶海勝、劉伯明、湯洪波3名航天員送入太空。
2021年9月16日，神舟十二號載人飛船撤離空間站組合體，9月17日13時30分許，神十二返回艙在東風著陸場安全降落，3名航天員聶海勝、劉伯明、湯洪波安全返回。
3名太空員在軌90天，圓滿完成了任務。
